We are in need of Lead Carpenter with a working knowledge of local electrical code, have the knowledge and ability to pull permits, perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems as well as install electrical panels, design wiring layouts for new construction projects.

Responsibilities

    • Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical components and equipment on both commercial and residential projects
    • Work productively with foremen, project managers, co-workers, and other trades in a construction environment
    • At times, direct and/or manage laborers ensuring all project tasks are completed on schedule and within budget including documenting hours worked and job progress.
    • Analyze plans, specifications, and submittal data to ensure all equipment and wiring is correct and installed in accordance with all local electric code and manufacturer's recommendations.
    • Install low voltage wiring (HVAC wiring), smart home wiring, cat6, as well as generator installs, electric meters, solar panels & solar power monitoring and reporting systems, new services
    • Troubleshoot electrical problems, devise and execute efficient solutions
    • Conduct inspections and liaise with clients to ascertain issues that warrant attention
    • Selecting, installing, and preserving the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, switchboards, electric meters and similar
    • Setting up and maintaining electrical machines and equipment
    • Logging time and resources spent on each task to calculate costs
    • Provide professional, friendly, and prompt service
    • Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of all local electrical codes
    • Maintain up-to-date familiarity with various types of electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, electrical tools and components
    • Maintain an updated understanding of all OSHA safety requirements and safely perform work according to OSHA standards

Qualifications

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Formal electrician training with thorough understanding of all wiring schematics
    • Ability to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniques
    • Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
    • Must be punctual, reliable and possess a strong work ethic with excellent customer service skills
    • Must pass a CORi background check
