Journeyman Carpenter

Responsibilities

- Responsible for understanding and implementing the scope of work guidelines and programs in daily activities
- Oversee, manage and document all day-to-day job site activities
- Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to appropriate Supervisor(s)
- Report any problems promptly to appropriate Supervisor(s) to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions
- Establish effective working relationships with employees and clients as necessary
- Request advice and assistance from appropriate management on matters pertaining to materials, sequencing, scheduling and personnel Project Start-Up/Turnover Meeting
- Ensure that work performed is consistent with the contract and will meet or exceed client expectations and Company standards
- Ensure that all pertinent benchmarks for the project are established and inserted the baseline schedule
- Organize all project documentation of the job site for easy access and review according to company standards
- Work with management to identify and resolve manpower issues and construction changes/issues
- Attend staff/subcontractor meetings and any others necessary to monitor and manage project and team progress
- Complete daily reports and maintains logs of key activities, files and shop drawings
- Maintain required safety reporting as necessary

Journeyman Carpenter Requirements

- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to use a wide variety of carpentry tools and techniques
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Must be punctual, reliable and possess a strong work ethic with excellent customer service skills
- Must pass a CORi background check
